Call for Consultancy service for Preparation of Rational Document for Financing Rain Fed Large Scale Agricultural Investments

About the Job

The assignment will focus on large scale Agricultural financing in Ethiopia and cover agro ecologies and commodities, but not limited to, characterized for large scale agricultural investments. The consultant will get technical experts from the relevant sector institute to be agreed and detailed with the project.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives of the project include qualitative and quantitative analysis:

To show relevance of rain fed agriculture at large-scale agricultural investment, specific to agro ecology and commodity
PESTE analysis of Agriculture, focusing on commercial and large-scale investment and its current and foreseen contribution to GDP and Sustainable economic development/Food Systems
Financing gap on large scale agricultural investment and its impact on contribution of agriculture to Food security, Nutrition, Environment and overall economic development, sustainable food systems
Risk and Mitigation on financing to rain fed agriculture

About You

Technical Proposal:

Cover letter highlighting the consultant, firm or groups of individuals capability in delivering the assignment including evidence of performing similar assignment within the last five years; detail experience in on areas related to the assignment are appreciated. A one pager expressing the interest of the consultant to do the assignment and capacity and brief summary of related assignments or engagements
A brief technical proposal outlining understanding of the assignment, a proposed approach/methodology, work plan including team allocation and man days on how objectives of the assignment will be achieved. This may include applicant’s own ideas/recommendations towards better delivery of the assignment.
Updated CVs for the consultant and the professional team, including the evidence of work done 9recommendations etc)

Financial Proposal: Breakdown of relevant cost elements with description, unit, no of units and unit costs. Personnel costs or professional fees should be indicated in the proposal (daily rate and no of days). This cost should include daily subsistence allowance costs (DSA) including accommodation, travels, communication and other costs.
