Job overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Secondary School Business Teacher to join our successful Business & Economics Department in August 2024. The position includes both IGCSE and IB Business.

Sandford International School is a Nursery to Year 13 international school in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa. Sandford has over 1000 students from 50 different countries. Addis Ababa is a lively, vibrant city in one of the most historically and geographically exciting countries in Africa.
In Years 7 to 9, students follow a Curriculum based upon the English National Curriculum and Cambridge Secondary Students take Checkpoint examinations at the end of Year 9 in English, Mathematics and Science. In Year 10 and 11 students follow the two-year Cambridge IGCSE programme in 8 or 9 subjects. In Years 12 and 13 students prepare for the IB Diploma.

About You

  • Applications are welcomed from experienced candidates. A first degree and a teaching certificate (PGCE or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of two years experience in a similar school setting is an advantage. IGCSE and IB experience is preferred.
