Job Description

Job Summary

The MEAL Assistant will support the effective implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities within the project. The role contributes to the delivery of high-quality projects through data collection, reporting, beneficiary feedback management, and learning documentation, in line with organizational and donor requirements.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support in the development and implementation of project MEAL plans and tools.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from the field using approved methods (surveys, FGDs, interviews, observations).
  • Ensure timely entry of data into databases and maintain proper filing of M&E documents.
  • Assist in tracking project performance indicators and progress against targets.
  • Participate in conducting baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
  • Assist in organizing community sensitization sessions on accountability mechanisms.
  • Document lessons learned, case studies, and good practices from project implementation.
  • Support the MEAL Officer in preparing monthly, quarterly, and donor reports.
  • Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or management of the organization

About You

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • BA degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E or data management (preferably in NGO/CSO).
