Job Summary
– A Field Crops Supervisor oversees daily agricultural operations, managing planting, cultivation, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting to ensure optimal crop yields. They lead, train, and schedule fieldworkers, maintain machinery, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Coordinate daily field activities, including seedbed preparation, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
- Crop Health Monitoring: Inspect fields to determine fertilization, weed control, and pest/disease management needs.
- Team Leadership: Supervise field staff, delegate tasks, provide training on safety and techniques, and evaluate performance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure tractors, sprayers, and irrigation equipment are properly used and maintained.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of production, labor, input usage, and field activities.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper chemical handling and operating procedures.
Qualification and Skills
Education:-
- BSc in Agriculture or related field
- Valid driver’s license; experience in driving tractors is advantageous.
Experience :-
- 6 years of Proven experience in agriculture or farming, typically with prior supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of crop cultivation, agricultural techniques, and equipment.
