HOPE International Development Agency
(HIDA) is an international NGO that works to help overlooked communities living in extreme poverty.
It is registered with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia – Authority for Civil Society

• HIDA would like to hire a competent project accountant
• The project accountant is responsible for ensuring the health and effectiveness of HIDA’s financial system including:
• Properly record and manage finance matters based on donor requirement and local laws.
• Work closely with finance officer for better financial execution.
• Be responsible for the overall financial execution at the project level.
• Coordinates financial management issues in collaboration with other departments.
• Follows up all project finances are properly documented for all project activities.

Education and Experience

• B.A degree in accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and principles including IPSAS.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations both locally and internationally.
• Knowledge and experience of related computer applications.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and finance in an NGO.
