I. Organizational Context

Innovative Humanitarian Solution (IHS) is a non-profit/humanitarian organization dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children. We work in emergency and conflict affected Areas in Afar, Amhara, Tigray,and Benshamngul Gumz, Regions to create protective environments for children and Crisis affected people. We are seeking dedicated and experienced Child Protection Officers to join our team and lead frontline efforts to identify, prevent, and respond to child abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence.

II. Job Purpose:

The Logistics and Admin officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of the organization’s program by ensuring efficient logistics coordination and sound administrative management. The role oversees procurement, asset and inventory management, transportation and office administration in compliance with organizational policies donor requirements. The position contributes to accountability, cost effectiveness and smooth functioning of daily operations to enable timely and high-quality program delivery.

III. Key Responsibilities:

1.Logistics & supply Chain management

  • Plan and coordinate procurement, storage, and distribution of goods and supplies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to project locations.
  • Coordinate transportation of staff, goods and equipment.
  • Monitor logistics costs and support cost-effective operations.

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Support procurement process in line with organizational and donor policies.
  • Obtain quotations, prepare purchase orders, and follow up with suppliers.
  • Maintain suppliers and service providers record and contracts.

3. Inventory, Asset & Warehouse Management

  • Maintain accurate inventories and asset registration.
  • Ensure a proper storage, handling, and labeling of goods and assets.
  • Conduct regular stock and asset counts and report discrepancies.

4. Administration & office Management

  • Manage day-to-day office administration and supplies
  • Oversee office facilities, utilities, and maintenance service.
  • Ensure proper filling and documentation of administrative records.

5. Compliance, Reporting & Documentation

  • Ensure logistics and administrative activities comply with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Prepare and submit periodic logistics and administrative reports.
  • Maintain complete and well-organized records for audit and reviews.

6. Coordination & Support

  • Work closely with program, finance, and management teams.
  • Provide logistics and administrative support to field and project staffs.
  • Support project implementation through timely operational services.

7. Asset Care, safety & Security

  • Ensure proper use, maintenance and safeguarding of organizational assets.
  • Support implementation of safety and security procedure related to logistics operations.

IV. Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

  • BA /Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, or any another related fields.

V. Experience:

  • Minimum 2 for Masters and 4 years for bachelors of experience in logistics, administration, or operations, preferably with an NGO, INGO or humanitarian organization.
  • Prove experience in procurement, Inventory, and asset management, and office administration.
  • Experience working in compliance with donor and organizational policies is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience supporting field or project-based operations is desirable.

VI. Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of logistics, procurement, and administrative procedures.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic computer skill, including MS Word, Excel, and Email
