Job Description
Position Title: Video Production/Documentary Preparation professional
Modality: Hybrid (TIMRAN and Consultant Offices accordingly)
Duration: Ten Days Activity (December 15-24, 2025 G.C)
About TIMRAN
TIMRAN is an indigenous, nonpartisan, not-for-profit women’s rights civil society organization established in March 2020 with the objective of enhancing women’s participation in key socio-political decision-making processes. TIMRAN’s vision is to see Ethiopia as a country where women take their legitimate space in the public decision-making arena and the nation’s political affairs. Our mission is to work towards the enhancement of Ethiopian women’s active engagement in political and public leadership to ensure their constitutional right to equal participation in the nation’s political, social, and economic undertakings.
Project Background
TIMRAN, is a Secretariat Office to the Coalition for Women’s Voice in the National Dialogue (Coalition), which established three years ago in March 2022. The aim of the Coalition is to ensure women’s meaningful representation in the Ethiopian National Dialogue process and to ensure that the process responds to and addresses Ethiopian women’s needs, perspectives, priorities, and aspirations. With the support of IRISH AID the Coalition planned to make:
- One long documentary (Max. One hour)
- One short documentary (Max. 15 minutes)
These will primarily be based on video footage and photo resources collected from all Ethiopian regions (except Tigray) with some additional inputs (including individual interviews from the Coalition Secretariat and leadership to get background or firsthand information) in the month of December 2025. However, the consultant should also anticipate the possibility of capturing additional footage if necessary, for example, for introductory and closing segments or to include perspectives from key individuals, to ensure the documentary is coherent and impactful.

- High-resolution final versions in agreed formats
Activity Time Frame
The video production/documentary work will be done within Ten Days from December 15-24, 2025 G.C., consecutively.
Any additional shooting required will be coordinated within the agreed time frame or through a mutually agreed adjustment.
Requirements
Bidders that meet the following criteria listed below can participate in the bid.
- Engaged/working in the media, entertainment, promotion, photo and video services.
- Have a renewed business license, registration, TIN number and relevant certificates.
- Have organized human resource, equipment and studio to make the production/ documentary and can show this to the project team when they win and offer the bid job.
- Ready to work with TIMRAN/Coalition designated focal person both in TIMRAN Office and the bid winner.
- Able to submit both short and long documentaries with the expected quality and within TIMRAN/Coalition apportioned time.
- Familiarity and experience with women’s rights, gender-based violence (GBV), peacebuilding, and related development themes to ensure accurate and sensitive storytelling.
- Financial and technical proposals should include an optional provision for additional shooting, if required (e.g., for introductory and closing segments or interviews with key individuals), with clear cost implications.
