Job Description
Reporting to: Project Manager/Country Director
Duration: Full-time, temporary contract (minimum 6 months) with potential for reassignment to another project upon completion.
Salary: According to the internal regulations and skills
NGO ASOCIACIÓN AMIGOS DE SILVA is seeking to incorporate as a site engineer into our team. In this role, you will work closely with our staff to execution, and monitoring activities. The Site Engineer will ensure the timely and successful delivery of Project goals, including assisting in writing Project progress.
Key Responsibilities of the Site engineer:
- Managing parts of construction projects.
- Preparing bill of quantity, Follow up quality and quantity of construction progress.
- Overseeing construction work and undertaking as built data.
- Checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
- Supervising contracted staff.
- Reporting work progress daily, weekly and monthly and Prepare detailed plans for assigned tasks
- Perform engineering design and analysis calculations pertaining to and in support of detailed plans
- Perform quality calculations (quality take-offs) for construction documents
- Review and verify coordination of design and quality calculations of plan detail
About You
Job Requirements
- Education: University Degree, in Civil Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in related fields.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Amharic both written and verbal proficiency in oromic is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
