Reports to:                 Deputy Regional Project Manager

Main Responsibilities:

Ø  Coordinates the Project interventions in line with the Project Agreement.

Ø  Organizes various trainings, biannual and annual program review meetings, and workshops.

Ø  Organizes briefing sessions on Annual Plan of Action, Project Proposal and submits documents.

Ø  Produces comprehensive monthly reports and submits to partners and regional/sub-regional office.

Ø  Dispatches documents such as quarter and annual reports, manuals SBCC materials,  guidelines, etc. to implementing partners when received from regional/subregional office

Ø  Coordinates TT surgery services and organizes quality audit, supervision of IECWs in collaboration with zone BPO, Training and supervision officer, and IECWs supervisors

Ø  Facilitates the recruitment of health workers for new IECWs training

Ø  Ensures adequate supplies of TT surgery items are available at zone and woreda levels. (timely collect and submits stock report, submit a request to RHB when needed)

Ø  Works closely with Trachoma Focal Person to get timely STP quarter report and submits to  regional office and staff seconded to BOE

Ø  Conducts Schools and HFs supervisions and quarterly HH latrine availability and utilization monitoring in collaboration with implementing partners

Ø  Participates in Annual Plan of Action and Budget Forecasting workshops

Ø  Participates in planning of MDA campaign, standardization training materials, and provision of trainings to implementers

Ø   Coordinates the MDA and ensures the implementation of proper drug administration (supervises teams, and rapid coverage survey)

Ø   Collects MDA data and synthesizes summary report and shares to regional office

Ø  Attends different meetings when invited by partners and NGOs operating in NTDs

Ø  Supports the revitalization and NTDs task force and organizes meetings

Ø  Organizes monthly meetings with coordinators and implementing partners

Ø  Facilitates the process of Trachoma Impact Surveys (Gott data collection, dispatching official letter, arranging training venue, arranging training site for field practice)

Ø  Ensures Project documents are available at zone and cluster project offices, ZHD, ZED, Woredas , HFs and schools

Ø  Assists woredas in dossier preparation

Ø  Submits monthly budget request, prepares payrolls, and ensures payments are timely effected

Ø   Facilitate MDA payments in collaboration with the finance team

Ø  Supports clusters coordinators under his supervision and fills out performance appraisal.

Ø  Facilitates the process of mid-term and terminal evaluations

Ø  Fills out the appraisal of Driver Logistician

Ø  Ensures project vehicle/s  are being serviced as per the schedule

Ø  Performs other duties as instructed by the regional manager.

Job Requirements

Qualification:   Bachelor degree in Public Health or related fields from a recognized university

Experience:     Minimum of six years relevant experience in disease prevention and control, Preferably NTD and Trachoma programs.

Additional Requirements:

·         Commendable performance in your current assignment

·         Reasonably good experience in project management

·         Willingness to travel and work in remote areas

·         Good computer skills, especially in data management

·         Recommendation letter from your immediate supervisor

Terms of Employment: One-year contract with a possibility of extension.
