Woreda Field Facilitator (23 Positions)

Job Summary

The Woreda field facilitators are involved in implementing agricultural projects at the community level. This includes providing technical advice on crop and livestock production, supporting rural young women in accessing markets and finance, facilitating capacity-building activities for farmers and community groups, coordinating with local government agriculture experts, and collecting data for monitoring and reporting on project progress.

Specific Responsibilities

• Mobilize and organize rural young women groups to participate in project activities.
• Support training Facilitation on agribusiness, agricultural extension, crop and livestock management, and horticulture practices.
• Promote sustainable agricultural practices, climate-smart approaches, and gender-inclusive participation.
• Support activities in crop production, livestock management, horticulture, and agribusiness enterprise development.
• Strengthen partnerships between farmers, cooperatives, private sector actors, financial institutions, and government offices.
• Facilitate linkages to markets, agro-processors, and service providers.
• Represent the program in woreda-level coordination meetings, platforms, and task forces.
• Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or management of the organization

Educational Qualification and Experience

• BA/MA in Agri Business, Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, Plant Science, Animal Science, Horticulture, or related fields, and a minimum of 4 years of Practical experience in community mobilization, agricultural extension, and value chain development.

Additional Skill

• Familiarity with woreda-level government structures and community-based organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with communities and government staff, and Fluency in local language(s) of the duty station.
• Commitment to organizational values of inclusiveness, integrity, and accountability.
• Sensitivity to gender, youth, and marginalized groups.
