Job Summary 

Samaritan’s Purse’s (SP) food assistance programs, funded by the World Food Program (WFP), distributes monthly rations to all households and individuals in up to three refugee camps in Amhara region Indirect support of the Accountability, Complaints and Feedback Officer the Global Distribution Tool Reporting Officer is responsible for verifying beneficiary lists provided by WFP on UNHCRs GDT database according to the parameters established by WFP and UNHCR.

Key Responsibilities

·       Operate UNHCR’s GDT beneficiary list system to verify eligible households to receive food assistance on a monthly basis during food distributions to up to three camps

·       Interface with beneficiary households to delivery quality assistance with a good attitude

·       Anticipate problems to share with line manager and troubleshoot solutions

·       Assess beneficiary household identification to verify eligibility to receive assistance

·       Verify households through UNHCR’s biometric information system

·       Performing all other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the GFD Program Manager with a generous and serving spirit

Job Requirements

Education / Experience Needed

·       Degree from university preferred in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology.  Previous experience working with NGOs and the UN in information technology or administration strongly desired.

LANGUAGE

•            Fluency in Amharic is required; working knowledge of English preferred.
