JOB SUMMARY

Samaritan’s Purse’s (SP) food assistance programs, funded by the World Food Program (WFP), distributes monthly rations to all households and individuals in three refugee camps in Amhara Region.  In direct support of the GFD Program Manager the Accountability, Complaints & Verification Officer is responsible for overseeing the implementation of UNHCRs registration database for registration and verification.  Specifically, the Accountability, Complaints & Verification Officer will oversee and train the GDT Verifier staff / Complaint Desk staff and support the GFD Program Manager in liaising with UNHCR and WFP regarding the registration and verification database.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Ensure verification processes and procedures of beneficiaries conforms to the requirements of UNHCR, WFP and other camp stakeholders

·       Train and oversee GDT Verifiers at each round of distribution to ensure accurate and quality data is inputted into the database according to the agreed format

·       Collate and analyze complaints submitted at distribution points and submit reports of findings to GFD Program Manager according to the agreed schedule in collaboration with the Program Manager

·       Anticipate problems and troubleshoot solutions to ensure the analysis is comprehensive

·       Liaise with WFP, UNHCR Data Program Officers to ensure the database is meeting WFP’s data registration needs

·       Assist on administrative works and attend meetings representing Samaritan’s Purse.

·       Respond to help desk service requests and maintain accurate task log

·       Performing all other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the GFD Program Manager with a generous and serving spirit

Job Requirements

 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

·       BA in Business Administration, Social Studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus

·       At least 2 years’ experience in Commodity Management with other NGO or Private Organization

·       Basic Information Management skills

LANGUAGE 

·       Amharic and English (spoken and written required)
