Website Development, Hosting Setup & Digital Optimization – Ethiopian Media Women Association (EMWA)

The Ethiopian Media Women Association (EMWA) is a leading advocate for gender equality and the professional advancement of women media practitioners in Ethiopia. With support from Grassroot Soccer, EMWA is seeking a competent consulting firm or registered company to design, develop, optimize, and operationalize a modern, interactive, and sustainable organizational website. The platform will serve as a central gateway for advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and public outreach.

SCOPE OF WORK & KEY DELIVERABLES

The selected firm will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing a responsive, user-friendly website with an updated CMS and intuitive navigation.
• Structuring the site to include: Homepage, About Us, Updates, Membership Section, Resources Hub, Programs/Projects, Women Experts’ Directory, and Contact Us.
• Uploading, formatting, and publishing key project deliverables.
• Implementing basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and web accessibility standards to maximize reach and inclusivity.
• Identifying and formally linking EMWA to a reliable, professional hosting provider, ensuring a direct contractual agreement between EMWA and the host (no third-party intermediaries).
• Ensuring full mobile responsiveness, security, and scalability for future growth.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

Interested applicants must be legally registered companies/consulting firms with:

• Proven expertise in website development, CMS platforms, UI/UX design, and hosting infrastructure.
• A portfolio of successfully completed website projects for NGOs, associations, or similar organizations.
• Demonstrated capacity to establish direct hosting contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Experience in SEO implementation and web accessibility compliance (WCAG standards).
• Strong training and capacity-building track record.
