Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.
The UN Web Buy team (UNWB) is part of the UNOPS Procurement Group. We provide procurement services to UNOPS offices globally and to external clients (IGOs, NGOs, governments) through unwebbuyplus.org – UNOPS e-commerce solution. The solution is built and operated by the UNWB team.
The UNWB Full-Stack Web Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable code to enhance and extend the UNWB platform. The successful candidate will be working as part of the team and under the supervision of UNWB Application Architect.
Functional Responsibilities
| Under the supervision of the UN WebBuy Application Architect, the UN WebBuy Full-Stack Web Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable code artifacts for the UN WebBuy platform. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting production issues and providing support to the end users. |
| 1. Develops the UNWB platform UNWB Full Stack-Stack Web Developer will work independently to develop system features and improvements according to technical specifications and requirements received from the UNWB Application Architect.
2. Ensures Quality and Testing Standards
3. Contributes to Technical Excellence UNWB Full Stack-Stack Web Developer will participate in technical discussions and brainstorming sessions. They will independently carry out research into specific areas and prepare their findings and recommendations.
4. Provides User Support and Technical Troubleshooting UNWB Full Stack-Stack Web Developer will work with the end users for support requests as assigned by UNWB Application Architect. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system issues as needed.

Education/Experience/Language requirements
a. Education
- Master’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information, Technology and Information Systems or other relevant discipline is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in combination with additional two years of experience may be accepted in lieu of master’s degree.
- Secondary education in combination with additional six years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a masters degree.
b. Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a full-stack web developer is required.
- Proficiency with at least one of these:
- NET, C#, Entity Framework and relational databases (eg. SQL Server).
- Web technologies (JS/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and at least one modern front-end framework like Svelte or React
c. Languages
Full working knowledge of English is required
d. Other Requirements
Able to work with the Southeast Asian time zone (GMT+7).
