Role Overview Summary

Transcribe Interview audios for the case study to be conducted.

Step:1 The individual consultant will be provided with Amharic audios, and it is recommended to listen to the audios carefully before proceeding with the transcription process. This step is important to familiarize oneself with the content and ensure accurate and effective transcriptions.

Step:2 The Amharic audios will be accurately translated and transcribed into English words. The transcription method employed will be verbatim, ensuring that every word, gesture, and background noise is faithfully captured in written form. This approach guarantees a precise and comprehensive transcription of the audio content.

–         The transcriber should have exceptional listening skills to accurately transcribe audio recordings or interviews.

–         Proficiency in Language: Fluency in English and Amharic is crucial; knowledge of Oromia language will be extra asset.

–         Attention to Detail: The transcribers need to pay close attention to detail to capture every word, sentence, and nuance

accurately.

–         Typing Speed and Accuracy: A fast typing speed with high accuracy is essential for transcribing efficiently.

–         Transcribers should have good time management skills to deliver transcripts within the specified timeframe.

–    Experience in Research Transcription: Prior experience in transcribing research materials, such as interviews, focus group discussions, or lectures.

Experience in similar research projects and NGOs.
