About the Organization
Young Women Christian Association in Ethiopia is an affiliate member of World YWCA; an international voluntary membership movement that connects women leading social and economic change in over 12 countries/ YWCA in Ethiopia was initially founded in 1962 and reestablished in 2000 then re-registered as Ethiopian resident charity following proclamation 621/2009 and again re-registered with revised CSO 1113/2019 proclamation under FDRE CSO agency. Currently YWCA Ethiopia is looking for competent consulting firm that will deliver climate change adaptation and climate resilient sustainable agriculture.
Objective
The objective of the trainings are to equip community members, youth groups, high school and TVET colleges on climate change adaptation and implement climate resilient sustainable agriculture.
Scope of the Work
The scope of the work includes preparation of trainings manual in Afan Oromo language and Amharic Language, pre and post evaluation assessment with analysis of results from the trainings, PowerPoint Presentation in local language covering the topic and delivering the training for different days that depend on the training length; date and time to be fixed by the YWCA-Ethiopia. The followings are list of activities that should address by the recruited consultant.
Provide capacity building training for youths in Ameya, Elefeta and Semien Bench cities on climate adaptation and climate resilient and sustainable agriculture.
Prepare training materials in Afan Oromo and Amharic language including training manual, power point presentation, pre and post-test evaluation and proceeding report after completion of each training.
Responsibilities of the consulting firm
- Present the consulting firm capacity and expertise on field before assignment starts
- Develop assessment tools (pre and post-test evaluation) for each training
- Develop proceeding report for each training conduction.
- Preparing PowerPoint for the training by local language.
- Deliver trainings as per scheduled days with communication YWCA-Ethiopia
- Undertake all the assignment with due ethical considerations;
Responsibilities of YWCA-Ethiopia
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to the consulting firms;
- Provide timely feedback on the work of trainers
- Oversee the work of the expert and give feedback.
- Process payment in a timely manner

Job Requirements
Deliverables:
- No of trainings delivered that covers all needed skills and knowledge areas to be delivered for trainees.
- Pre and post-test evaluation assessment conducted and incorporated to reports, that show the trainees level of knowledge before and after trainings delivered 3
- Proceeding reports produced for each training that shows all the training situation.

- The Consulting firm interested in this assignment is required to have the following qualifications in the firm’s team.
Expertise
Academic Qualifications
- At least a master’s degree in gender and development studies, human right, environmental science, Agriculture, Law, international development or public policy and related field.
Experience
- At least five years professional experience in training facilitation in climate justice, climate resilient, environment protection and related issues
- Demonstrated experience in working with CSO’s, INGO’s, government partners and other stakeholders in climate and environmental issues
- Evidence of having undertaken similar assignments.
- Experience in training, working with low level of community members.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work with in due date
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills in interacting with community.
- Evidence of having undertaken similar assignments;
- Training facilitation and team building skill
- Language fluency in Amharic, English and Afan Oromo
