Job Description:
For our unique rehabilitation program and highly professional team of physiotherapists and special needs educators caring for children with multiple disabilities, we are currently seeking an exceptionally talented individual who would like to participate in the development of a new career field (Curative Care Specialist).

Variety of duties and responsibilities:
- providing small group activities for 2 to 3 children to promote communication, variety, social interactions, literacy skills, positive behavioral development, and other skills as appropriate within the early intervention program
- engaging caregivers in purposeful interactions with their children
- using and adapting all available therapeutic materials to meet the specific needs of individual children
- discussing, modeling, and coaching caregivers on interventions
- Assisting physical therapists and other colleagues on the team
- Monitor emerging needs of children and caregivers and adjust interventions accordingly
- enrollment of new children
- initial screening of children
- counseling of caregivers
- administrative tasks
- cooperation with other organizations, network building and maintenance
Program Areas: Rehabilitation Program for children with multiple disabilities
Employment Period: Contract over the current project period with the possibility of extension
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- BA in social work, community development, medical or therapeutic field of work from an accredited university or college or satisfactory evidence of ability to meet the required skill set

- Creativity, playfulness and patience
- Empathy, integrity and assertiveness
- High competence in interdisciplinary work & teamwork
- Languages: Very good spoken and written English; fluent in Amharic
