About the project

Recognizing the critical role that our employees play in achieving our mission, we are committed to fostering a supportive and healthy work environment. To this end, we are launching a series of well-being initiatives aimed at enhancing the physical, emotional, and mental health of all employees. We are seeking a qualified and experienced trainer to design and deliver capacity-building and informative sessions on employee well-being.

Overall Objective of the Assignment

The primary objective of this assignment is to equip SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia employees with the knowledge, skills, and techniques to promote and maintain their wellbeing in both their personal and professional lives.

Specific objectives include:

  • To deliver engaging and interactive training sessions on employee wellbeing, including mental health, emotional resilience, mindfulness, stress management, self-care and the likes.
  • To foster a culture of wellbeing within the organization, enhancing overall employee satisfaction and productivity.

Scope of Work

The selected trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Training Design: Develop a comprehensive training curriculum tailored to the needs of SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia employees.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct in-person or virtual training sessions for all employees. The training should be interactive and participatory.
  • Resource Development: Create training materials, and resources that employees can use beyond the training sessions.

Expected Deliverables

  • A training curriculum with the identified agenda.
  • Training sessions delivered as per the agreed schedule.
  • Training materials and resources for employees.

Financial Arrangements

The total budget for the assignment will be paid with the following payment arrangements

  • 30% – while agreements signed
  • 70% – Upon delivery of a session
  • Fluency in both English and Amharic (written and spoken).

Duration and Location

  • The assignment is expected to take place every 3 months, for 1-2 hours.

Training sessions will be conducted in-person at SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia, National Office, Addis Ababa.

About You

Experience of the Employee Wellbeing Trainer

  • A degree in psychology, social work, human resources, public health or a related field.
  • Proven experience, at least 10 years in designing and delivering training sessions on employee wellbeing, mental health, or related topics.
  • Strong understanding of workplace dynamics and employee wellbeing strategies.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in Ethiopia or similar cultural contexts is an asset.
  • Fluency in both Local and Professional (written and spoken)
  • Legally registered & licensed in all aspects of the Ethiopian government requirement.

Technical and Financial Proposal Application Process

Interested trainers are invited to submit the following documents:

  • The technical proposal shall outline all the relevant experiences of the trainer with their references.
  • A financial proposal, including daily or hourly rate.
  • Financial and Technical proposals shall be prepared and sealed in a separate envelope, then these two proposals shall be sealed in a single envelope.

Proposal submission detail

The potential and interested trainer must submit technical and financial proposals with a description of their experience, as well as a portfolio of their previous work. Accordingly, the following documents are expected to be received as technical and financial proposition within one week of this announcement:

  • Technical and financial proposal
  • CV of lead and team members
  • Samples of the previous work done

Proposals should be submitted on or before March 28, 2025, in-person to SOS Children Villages National Office located at Bole Sub City, Kebele 03/05, H. NO 2/229 around Bole Medhanialem- Atlas area in front of Mado Hotel in hard copy with a separately leveled enveloped to financial and technical proposal or via email through: procurement@sos-ethiopia.org.

The Trainer is expected to Respect the right to privacy of children and young people. We have Zero tolerance for any child and youth safeguarding concerns.
