Job Description
Society for Education, Environment and Development (SEED) jointly with SOS Sahel Ethiopia obtained financial support from UN OHA to Implement a project entitled “Rebuilding Live Integrated Humanitarian support for returning IDPs in HoroGuduru Wollega zone,Abe Dongoro District“. The project objective is to strengthen the livelihoods, food security, and protection of returning internally displaced populations in Abe Dongorodistrict by delivering integrated time-bounded support including Emergency shelter with its package. The project will be in implementation from 01, December 2025 to 31,July 2026.
SEED as part of its program implementation is seeking to employ interested, qualified, and experienced individual for the job positions mentioned hereunder:
Team Leader Field based
Job Purpose:
The position based in the field and leads field based project team to deliver the objectives in time and within budget.
Team Leaders play a vital role in managing and motivating team members, and are involved in decision-making, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
Work place: Abe Dongoro, Horo Guduru Wollega Zone, Oromia Regional
Team Leaders have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Lead by example and inspire team members to achieve their best
- Develop a strategy the team will use to reach its goal
- Provide any training that team members need
- Communicate clear instructions to team members
- Listen to team members’ feedback
- Monitor team members’ participation to ensure the duties they are being provided is being put into use, and also to see if any additional consultation is needed
- Manage the flow of day-to-day operations
- Create reports to update the company on the team’s progress
- Distribute reports to the appropriate personnel
- Resolve conflicts between members of the team
- Ensure the team adheres to company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
- In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Decision-making skills
- Ability to teach and coach
- Degree in Sociology Experience in the fields of emergency shelter project is a plus
Salary: As per SEED salary scale
