Job Description
An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company – Ethiopia for the role of Team Leader-Accounts Payable. The position is structured to report to the Country Lead-Financial Control.
Key Purpose StatementThe role is responsible to lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all vendor invoices and payments. The role is responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, optimizing AP processes, fostering team performance, and supporting the Finance function in achieving operational efficiency and financial integrity. |
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Accurate Payments
- Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time to maintain strong business relationships.
- Conduct thorough validation and reconciliation of invoices to prevent discrepancies.
- Implement controls to minimize errors and duplicate payments.
Operational Efficiency
- Streamline and optimize accounts payable processes for faster turnaround times.
- Leverage automation and digital tools to improve processing speed and accuracy.
- Monitor key performance metrics to identify and address inefficiencies.
Vendor Satisfaction
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through proactive communication.
- Ensure timely resolution of vendor queries and disputes to prevent disruptions.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve supplier interactions.
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
- Train the team on financial policies and best practices to uphold governance standards.
Skills, Experience & Education
- BA Degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an FMCG environment; experience with large FMCG suppliers advantageous.
