Background
REACH Ethiopia was established in 2013, evolving from a research project aimed at combating Tuberculosis (TB). The organization’s mission is to contribute to a TB-free Ethiopia through research, innovation, partnerships, and community-based interventions. Over the years, REACH Ethiopia has successfully implemented numerous projects, collaborating with global partners such as USAID, Stop-TB Partnership, and others. In September 2024, REACH Ethiopia secured a USAID grant to implement intensified TB interventions, demonstrating strategies to eliminate TB in Ethiopia.
Job Summary
The MEL Officer will play a pivotal role in executing evidence-based project management and facilitating project knowledge management. As the focal point for generating evidence on project progress and activity management, the MEL Officer will be responsible for identifying and developing data collection tools and applications, as well as monitoring and evaluation tools for the USAID SWIFT TB initiative. The officer will customize data collection and management tools to support decision-making processes. Additionally, they will oversee the effective implementation of the project by ensuring timely and accurate data collection, organization, and analysis.
The MEL Officer will also be tasked with ensuring the quality of programmatic and research data and providing technical support for TB program monitoring and evaluation activities across all levels of the health system. This role functionally and hierarchically reports to the MEL and CLA Manager and requires close collaboration with relevant technical teams to achieve project objectives.
