STANDARD OPEN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE (ICB) TENDER FOR THE PROCURMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENTS

The Fred Hollows Foundation Ethiopia (FHFE) is country office of the Fred Hollows Foundation international which is an Australian based international non-governmental organization working in the field of eye care to prevent avoidable blindness. The Fred Hollows Foundation Ethiopia (FHFE) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified international commercial, noncommercial suppliers and manufacturers for the supply and delivery of ophthalmic equipment, surgical instruments, and consumables to support eye health services in Ethiopia.

Bidders are invited for one or more of the following lots:

• Lot 1: Cataract surgery kit (one kit is for 5 surgeries)
• Lot 2: Intra Ocular Lenses of different range of power
• Lot 3: Consumables and Supplies
• Lot 4: Medical Equipment.
• Lot 5: Instrument
• Lot 6: Eyeglasses

Bidders may submit proposals for one or more lots. Each lot will be evaluated and awarded independently.

Eligibility Documentary evidence:

• A valid renewed trade license, VAT certificate and registration certificate for the supply of Medical Supplies and Equipment’s and agent certificates.
• Eligibility of the bidder (Missing any one of these mandatory documents will lead to disqualification).
• Showing the bidder has the technical, production, supply or financial capability to perform the contract.
• Showing the conformity of the goods to the bidding documents, such as detailed description of the good’s essential technical and performance characteristics. The bidder may substitute alternative standards, brand names and/or catalogue numbers in its bid provided that it demonstrates to the purchaser’s satisfaction that the substitutions are substantially equivalent or superior to those designated in the technical specifications.
