Job Description
International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest of independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL has opened its door for service in 2004 with the aim of “contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia” by encompassing a system of human and physical resources designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of the population it serves.
It is the only laboratory accredited by the USA based Joint Commission International (JCI) five times in a row. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.
ICL would like to fill the following vacant positions under the Customer Service Section of our Nekemte branch by inviting all qualified and competent applicants:
Position: Specimen Collection Technician
Required Number: 1 (one)
Employment: Full Time
Working Place: Nekemte
Report to : Customer Service Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and label laboratory samples following standard Operating procedure from walking patients and those credit customers’ samples, and also data creation will be performed as necessary.
- Submit or send and deliver the collected sample properly with the sample tracking form (Pre-Alert sheet)
- Proper utilization of phlebotomy materials
- Enter patient data, collect cash and serve the customers as much possible as necessary.
- Report any technical complaints or inquiries to the supervisor.
- Other related duties are given by the supervisor or customer service Manager.
Salary: – As per the company scale
About You
Qualification and Experience:
- BSC Degree in Medical Laboratory Technologist (0-year Work Experience with Renewed License)
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (2-year work Experience with Renewed License)
Required Skills:
- Competent phlebotomy and sample collection skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills in addition able using positive language
- Strong time management skills
- Willingness to improve and motivated for self-development
- Proficient in Amharic, English, Afan Oromo Languages.
