Job Description
An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company – Ethiopia for the role of Specialist: People & Culture.

The position is structured to report to the Country Lead: People and Culture Services.
Key Purpose Statement
To provide end-to-end People & Culture support by delivering effective HR operations, talent management, employee relations, learning and development, and change management initiatives that enable business performance, enhance employee experience, and ensure the consistent application of People & Culture policies, processes, and practices.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
HR Operations & Advisory
- Provide guidance and solutions on operational HR matters.
- Advise line managers on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of HR processes.
- Support change and transition initiatives to facilitate business transformation.
- Implement operational change initiatives and ensure sustainability.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities and hiring processes.
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Ensure timely and effective integration of new employees into the business.
Learning & Development
- Monitor competency gaps and communicate requirements to Learning & Development partners.
- Coordinate training interventions and monitor development plans.
- Support initiatives aimed at building critical organizational capabilities.
Talent & Performance Management
- Diagnose performance-related challenges and collaborate on appropriate HR solutions.
- Monitor HR performance data and scorecards.
- Support Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and talent development initiatives.
- Contribute to succession planning and retention practices.
Employee Relations
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries.
- Promote a positive employee relations environment.
- Support the fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
HR Excellence
- Collaborate with specialist teams and business partners to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Analyze HR data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Postgraduate HR qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ Human Resource Generalist experience in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of HR Policies, Processes, and Systems (Dynamics 365, MS Office).
- Recruitment and Candidate Experience Management.
- Change Management and Organizational Change Enablement.
- Performance and Talent Management, including EVP, succession planning, and retention strategies.
- HR Data Analytics, Reporting, and Workforce Metrics.
- Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic awareness.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy, collaboration, and service orientation.
