Job Overview

Site Engineer is a person who is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operates and promotes safe working on site by implementing all company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to the legislation and quality;
  • Carries out and records site inspections and ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements from the site manager and project manager;
  • Conducts and amends risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings;
  • Ensures the completion of works on time and within budget schedule, co-ordinate and supervises the daily activities of site operatives and daily laborers through delegating tasks for each worker;
  • Shares and passes on knowledge to teams and ensure site operatives complete all required documentation;
  • Ensures documentation is properly completed in line with the company requirements, project and site manager;
  • Tracks and documents daily work productions and organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site;
  • Regulates the equipment and materials management through strong controlling skill;
  • Manages and follows the daily work of daily laborers and site operatives through continuous follow up;
  • Requests for additional human power to the site manager when needed and report the compliance and performance of workers working on the site including site operatives and daily laborers;
  • Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor; and
  • Performs all activities ordered by the Line Manager.

About You

  • BSc. degree in Construction Management or other related engineering fields.
  • At least 5 years work experience
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
