Job Description
RTI International is seeking a short-term independent contractor in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the startup of a USAID/LEGO funded International Education activity.
Responsibilities
Scope of Work Summary:
Under the guidance of the RTI Project Coordinator the procurement and logistics contractor will:
- Collect quotes for all relevant procurements, i.e., outfitting the office, IT equipment, additional office supplies and hotels
- Provide support for vehicle rental procurement
- Provide courier support for shipments to/from HQ
- Support regional and international travelers on matters related to visas, coordinating hotel arrangements, etc.
- Provide support for administrative tasks around the office
- Support other logistics, administrative, and coordination tasks, as needed
Level of Effort:
Anticipated level of effort is up to 20 days on a part-time, as needed, basis for the below referenced period of performance. The services will be performed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The consultant is expected to be flexible and communicative during this time.
ODCs:
Other direct costs, including reimbursement for gas mileage and a communications allowance will be provided.
Period of Performance:
January 15, 2025 to March 14, 2025.
Qualifications
- Professional training in procurement, supply chain management, or logistics management is preferred.
- Knowledge of USAID procurement policies and regulations preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of logistics and procurement support, preferably with project startup.
