Job Title: Senior Specialist, Research and Program Development
Job Grade: 09
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Availability: As soon as possible
Job Purpose: The Research and Program Development Officer is responsible for conducting research and developing new training programs and research projects that meet the evolving needs of the Academy’s target audience, the market, and the industry. This role requires a strong understanding of research methodologies, project development, adult learning principles, and industry best practices.
SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new training programs and initiatives;
- Design and conduct research studies related to the Academy’s focus areas;
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to identify potential training and consultancy opportunities.
- Conduct research on innovative training methodologies and technologies (e.g., e-learning, artificial intelligence, etc).
- Develop and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, etc.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, assessment, and feedback from participants. Use the findings to make recommendations for program enhancement.
- Design proposals to partner with various institutions, including development partners, Associations, and local and overseas learning institutions
- Establishes Networking and partnership with various stakeholders to collaborate in common interest areas;
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote courses and training programs.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
About You
- MA/BA in Economics, Business Management, Project Management, Education Administration, and other related areas
- 4/6 years of experience in research, project development, curriculum development, marketing, and related areas
- Proven experience in conducting market research and developing new training programs.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
