TITLE: Senior RMNCH-N Officer

PROJECT SUMMARY An integrated RMNCH + PPFP project is an anticipated project that will be implemented in different high caseload facilities found in different regions of Ethiopia. The project will be implemented at high caseload facilities, focused on FP, Maternal, Newborn, Immunization, and Nutrition (RMNCH-N) to reduce maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality through increased uptake of voluntary family planning and selected RMNCH-N services in high-impact areas in Ethiopia. To support the implementation of these activities, EngenderHealth is seeking a well-qualified Senior RMNCH-N program officer for the anticipated integrated RMNCH + PPFP project. JOB SUMMARY The Senior RMNCH-N Officer, supervised by the Regional Team Leader, will be responsible for managing and providing technical assistance for the implementation of project-supported RMNCH-N programs implemented in high caseload facilities. The primary focus of the role will be to ensure the achievement of specific RMNCH-N targets in service readiness assessment, capacity building of healthcare providers through training and mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives. The Sr. RMNCH-N Officer will be expected to plan and carry out field-level activities, ensuring their effective implementation. The Sr. Officer will also coordinate and monitor the timely execution of program activities under the Sr. Officer’s responsibility. This will involve organizing and facilitating training sessions, mentorship programs, and regular site visits to support and strengthen the skills of healthcare providers working in public health facilities.
Additionally, the Sr. Officer will play a pivotal role in strengthening referral networking among healthcare facilities in the region. The technical expertise and assistance of the Sr. Officer will be important in guiding healthcare providers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. To realize this role, the Sr. Officer is expected to have strong project management skills and understand RMNCH-N programs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also important in building relationships with public health facilities and district health systems. Overall, the Sr. RMNCH-N Officer will contribute to the successful implementation of RMNCH-N programs, making a positive impact on the health and well-being of communities at the specific regions.
