Job Description

EOC-DICAC is a recognized and licensed non-profit charitable local NGO working to benefit vulnerable communities in Ethiopia. Since its establishment in 1972, EOC-DICAC has been implementing development and humanitarian programs across the country with the goal of enabling communities to achieve self-reliance by addressing the root causes of poverty, migration, climate change, conflict, and public health illiteracy through sustainable development interventions.

Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement and Logistics Officer will be responsible for the efficient and timely planning, organization, implementation, and reporting of all procurement, property, and logistics management activities of the Commission. The position requires ensuring that the procurement of goods, services, and works is carried out in accordance with EOC-DICAC’s procurement policies and procedures, as well as donor requirements. The incumbent will also oversee the proper management of procurement contracts, transportation, storage, and utilization of supplies, equipment, and construction materials.

About You

Education:

  • BA/B.Sc. degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Material Management, or other related fields of study.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience for BA/B.Sc. holders, or 4 years for MA/M.Sc. holders — preferably in non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to gender equality and participatory management approaches.
  • Willingness and ability to perform other related duties as assigned.
