Senior Human Resource Officer

Location:  Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Description

  • Support end-to-end recruitment: posting vacancies, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating offers
  • Manage onboarding and induction for new employees
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (physical and digital)
  • Administer employee benefits, leave, and attendance tracking
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals
  • Address employee queries and escalate issues where needed
  • Assist in organizing training and development programs
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Support disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management
  • Assist with payroll coordination where required

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR generalist or officer role
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in HR software/HRIS and MS Office
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Computer skill is more advantage
