The Resource Mobilization and Partnership Officer is responsible for efficiently planning and organizing his/her monthly activities, ensuring timely execution, and promoting a positive work environment. He/she will lead the organization’s efforts in securing funding and establishing strategic partnerships, specifically focusing on Arab and Asian states’ embassies and organizations in Addis Ababa and beyond. The officer will identify funding opportunities, develop proposals, build and maintain donor relationships, and support the sustainability of the organization’s programs.
· Develop yearly and monthly activity plans and submit them on time.
· Prepare monthly activity report in the last week of every month and submit.
· Identify, research, and map potential funding opportunities from Arab and Asian states’ embassies, development agencies, and organizations in Addis Ababa and beyond.
· Prepare PAPDA’s promotional materials in Arabic including by sharing experience from similar organizations.
· Diversify funding sources by exploring philanthropic, corporate, and governmental funding opportunities within the Arab and Asian world.
· Connect with key stakeholders in embassies, agencies, and organizations to identify potential funding opportunities.
· Gather insights on funding criteria by researching each entity’s priorities, eligibility requirements, and past beneficiaries.
· Create and maintain a funding database to systematically track potential donors, their requirements, and submission deadlines.
· Engage in strategic discussions and initiate relationships with prospective funders.
· Examine best practices in visibility by analyzing approaches used by similar organizations.
· Collaborate with language experts including linguists, translators, and subject matter specialists to ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
· Translate essential documents and materials while maintaining clarity and cultural relevance and collect feedback from Arabic-speaking stakeholders.
· Develop targeted communication strategies to showcase PAPDA’s impact and the needs of pastoralist communities.
· Explore diverse funding opportunities by identifying philanthropic foundations, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and government grants.
· Monitor and assess funding trends from Arab and Asian states to identify emerging opportunities.
· Evaluate funding patterns to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and financial sustainability.
· Compile research findings and develop strategic recommendations based on funding analysis.
· Initiate dialogue with key stakeholders from foundations, corporations, and government entities to explore potential partnerships.
· Draft tailored funding proposals that align with the interests and priorities of prospective donors.
· Actively participate in networking events and forums to strengthen relationships with potential funders.
· Distribute visibility materials in Arabic to target audiences and measure their effectiveness and impact.
· Track and assess global and regional funding trends to stay informed about shifts in the financial landscape.
· Examine emerging patterns in philanthropy and corporate giving with a focus on funding from Arab and Asian states.
· Design a comprehensive funding diversification strategy to achieve a sustainable balance of philanthropic, corporate, and governmental support.
· Evaluate partnership effectiveness by assessing ongoing collaborations and refining funding strategies for improved outcomes.
· Prepare reports and updates for management to decide on the next action.
· Develop tailored communication materials (brochures, presentations, reports) to engage Arab and Asian donors and partners.
· Enhance the organization’s visibility within the Arab and Asian diplomatic community through strategic outreach and branding.
· Facilitate meetings, networking events, and dialogues with potential donors and partners to enhance collaboration.
· Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and diplomatic events in relation to resource mobilization and partnership.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with embassies, multilateral organizations, foundations, and NGOs from Arab and Asian countries.
· Compile report of each donor’s focus area, priorities and mission and submit to the management.
· Provide training and guidance to staff on donor engagement and fundraising strategies.
· Work closely with program teams to ensure alignment between funding requirements and project implementation.
· Develop internal systems and databases to track fundraising activities, partnerships, and donor commitments.
· Actively engage in self- capacity-building initiatives to enhance expertise and effectiveness.
· Proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy within the organization.
· Pursue pre-requisite certifications mandated by the organization to support ongoing professional development and organizational transformation.
· Contribute to the overall growth of the organization.
· Continue representing PAPDA in public and government offices.
· Ensure the payment of pension on time both in Addis Ababa and Field offices.
· Ensure that all staff have pension ID and relevant numbers.
· Carry out any other activities given by the Program Manager.
