Regional Project Coordinator job at Federation of Ethiopian Associations of Persons with Disability (FEAPD)

Federation of Ethiopian Associations of Persons with Disability (FEAPD) would like to hire competent professional for the following positions in contractual basis for the project entitled ”We are Able” which has been implemented in collaboration with ADF/ZOA.

Main Duties and Responsibilities are the following

• Involve and contribute in project planning and implementation of the project activities of #We are able project; at the site,
• Accomplish day to day tasks of the project site level. Evaluate the project activities at the site, identify drawbacks during implementation and take immediate actions in collaboration with project coordinators and other stakeholders.
• Monitor Project implementation, facilitate and execute the implementation of activities by prioritizing key activities.
• Participate & contribute the development and design of program/projects, using sound science and best practices.
• Participate, contribute, lead and manage both internal and external input of the project in most effective manner
• Develop and maintain positive and professional relationship with partners and stakeholders. Be responsible for project management and reporting to project coordinator and other concerned bodies including funder.
•  Create effective communication with FEAPD at head office staffs and immediate supervisor, undertake the performance appraisal of the project officer, Perform additional assignment from the project coordinator

Duty station: Harari with frequent travel to the field (East Harerge & Dire Dawa)

Term of Employment – on contractual base with possibility of extension based on performance and availability of project budget.

Requirements, skills & Competence

• MA in sociology/Psychology, Project Management, Social sciences& related field.

Work experiences

• 4 & above years of practical professional experiences. Applicant who have work experiences in working with NGO setting advantageous.

Competence

• Computer literate (Operating Ms-Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet navigation .etc)
• Fluency in English, Amharic & local language (Afaan Oromoo) both speaking & writing
• Good partnership management, knowledge of government working procedure and good negotiation & influencing skill
• Knowledge and exposures to the sociocultural situation of the region
