Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery (PBID) Project 

PSI Ethiopia in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the regional health bureaus (RHBs), in implementing a pharmacy-based immunization delivery (PBID) pilot project through funding from Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery (PBID) is an initiative aimed at expanding access to vaccination services through trained pharmacists working in selected community pharmacies. The project is part of a three-country program implemented in Ethiopia, Kenya and Nigeria for four years (2025-2028). The project works to generate evidence for potential scale-up through conducting implementation research using a mixed methods. These include client exit interviews (CEIs) with vaccination users/care givers at the pilot pharmacies, in-depth interview with providers (trained and certified pharmacists providing the vaccination services in the pilot pharmacies), and key-informant interview with stakeholders.

We are looking for

We are seeking approximately 9 dedicated, energetic, and highly qualified Female Data Collectors to conduct client exit interviews at participating PBI pharmacies in the Amhara and Oromia region. The client exit interviews focus on Tetanus-Diphtheria, HPV, and routine childhood vaccinations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer structured electronic questionnaires to eligible vaccine recipients and caretakers.
  • Use mobile devices (smartphones/tablets) to accurately capture and record quantitative survey responses in real-time.
  • Ensure all completed forms are reviewed for completeness and successfully uploaded to the central server at the end of each field day.
  • Adhere strictly to research ethics, obtain informed consent from participants, and maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with field supervisors

Job requirements

  • Education: BSc Degree in Public Health, Social Pharmacy, Nursing, Statistics, Sociology, or related fields.
  • Quantitative Experience: Proven track record of conducting quantitative surveys and health-related research.
  • Digital Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience using mobile data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox or ODK (Open Data Kit).

Language Skills:

  • Amharic: Fluent (written and spoken) is required for national coordination and reporting.
  • Local Languages: Full fluency in the native language of your assigned deployment zone (Afaan Oromoo or Amharic) is mandatory to build trust and accurately translate survey concepts.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a respectful approach when interviewing vulnerable populations
