About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing IT Team within the new Innovation Lab, which plays a critical role in helping Inkomoko scale to 8 countries by 2030.  The QA analyst will work closely with the IT Project Manager to ensure that QA is part of our daily practice and processes and standards are consistently applied across all projects within the IT workflow.

Responsibilities

The QA Analyst is expected to have experience with  QA testing at different levels (unit, integration, system, etc.). A successful candidate should have software management experience from any industry and ready to take on the following roles:

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
  • Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
  • Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data.
  • Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
  • Draft quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for an innovative and experienced QA analyst to join our team. The QA analyst is responsible for developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with IT colleagues, both front-end and back-end developers, and across different departments to provide timely feedback and perform and validate test cases based on quality requirements, and recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines.

Must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing, including automation and regression testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, plus at least one other language of the communities we serve (Kinyarwanda, French, Swahili, Somali, Arabic, Amharic).
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

A plus:

  • Economic development experience, experience working with refugee populations.
  • Startup or social enterprise experience.
