Under the line management of the ERM and the technical supervision of the Protection Specialist CBP, the Protection Assistant – CBP is responsible for implementing community-based protection activities in selected Humera and Maikadra areas. The role focuses on conducting supporting the strengthening/establishment of Community Based Protection Network or Community Based Protection -Focal point (CBPN/CBP-FP), providing training for CBPN/FP, provide technical support for CBPN/FP in conducting community protection analysis, action plan and implementation. In addition, the protection assistant will be provided relevant basic trainings to provide PSS services.
The Protection Assistant will also support the development of sustainability and exit strategies, facilitate linkages between CBPNs and relevant stakeholders, and contribute to strengthening the capacities of community-based protection structures.
