Job Title: Project Officer
Location: HPA Country Office, Addis Ababa
Reporting to: Program Coordinator
Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Health Poverty Action (HPA) is implementing a project in Addis Ababa that aims to improve the wellbeing of people living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) through capacity building, awareness creation, and strengthened economic opportunities.
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Project Officer will lead the planning, implementation, and day-to-day management of project activities. The officer will coordinate community-based interventions, facilitate livelihood and awareness initiatives, ensure timely reporting, and maintain strong collaboration with internal teams, project participants, and external partners.
Beyond the specific T1D project, the Project Officer will also contribute to HPA Ethiopia’s broader livelihoods and economic empowerment portfolio, supporting the design and implementation of ongoing and future initiatives that promote sustainable income generation and resilience among target communities. He/ She will also provide assistance on Measles RDT deployment project to provide a technical input and project support with regards costing and economic analysis.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Salary: Monthly gross salary range of USD 500-660 (inclusive of 11% pension contribution and 4% provident fund) based on the candidate’s competency and experience.
Hours: Full time.
Holidays: 14 days per year pro rata.
Location: The position is based in the HPA Country Office, Addis Ababa, and may require occasional travel to other project sites as needed by the line manager.
