The successful candidate will be responsible to Engage in the development and effective operation of the ALM FGM program under implementation and ensure programme quality standards by providing programme/project implementation and coordination support, coordinate and manage plans of work, monitors deliverables, and flags areas of concern in a timely manner.

Key Activities:

·  Coordinate Woreda level program development/design

·  Write concept notes and proposals on FGM in coordination with the Program and Fund-Raising Department at Head office.

· Coordinates the planning, budgeting, and reporting of the ALM FGM program activities in the LRP.

· In consultation with the project and Women’s right managers as well as Head of Programs, provide expert advice to programme work in ensuring program activities implementation using the girls’ centered framework and support capacity development, knowledge development, sharing and learning.

·  Provide technical and professional support to ALM FGM program activities in     Guna and Farta Woredas and follow up implementation in the different community levels to coordinate and ensure programme quality standards.

· Coordinate the program quality using the quality standards.

· Engage in other donor fund projects at LRP level.

·  Periodically monitor the ALM FGM programme activities in collaboration with the project manager and MEL officer and provide the necessary support.

· Actively participate in local level participatory poverty analysis, programme design/planning processes as per AAEs’ programme strategic direction in general and the LRP plan in particular

· Support the project manager in identifying and organizing risks and risk matrix, mitigation strategies and updating,

·  Facilitate participatory programme implementation with special focus on targeted girls.

· Participate in participatory monitoring & evaluation, and programme review, reflection, and learning processes in the LRPs.

·  Support the project manager in funding plan, and proposal development for fund raising.

· Prepare and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of the ALM FGM activities in collaboration with the project manager.

·  Take initiatives to document and share learning for adaptations and best practices.

·  Support evidence- based policy and advocacy on FGM issues at Woreda and sub national level and ensure linkage for national level engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree in law, sociology, or other related social science field, with a minimum of six years with BSc or 4 years for MA with proven experience in the area of social change/WR programs.
