Location: Jinka, Ethiopia
Organization: Omo’s Morningstar Children (OMC)
Deadline: August 29, 2025
Omo’s Morningstar Children (OMC) is a nonprofit and non-government organization (NGO) supporting school education for pastoralists’ children, strengthening health and nutritional practices (HTPs) and gender imbalance in such communities.
The majority of South Omo’s children are semi pastoralists who experience high rates of child marriage and extremely vulnerable to recurrent droughts, which leads to malnutrition, limited access to education, and limited access to health services, especially for women and children. In addition, a number of humanitarian programs are implemented in the area (HTP) even though they are not fully integrated.
The Project Officer – SGBV will be responsible for the day-to-day management, implementation, and monitoring of SGBV-related activities. The position involves working closely with community members, implementing partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure that the project’s objectives are met, with a strong focus on the rights and dignity of survivors.
