Job Description
DEC is a local CSO established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 as per the new Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government, bearing a registration number of 0009. The organization has five major programs: the Child Well-being and Education Development Program, the Gender and Life Skill Development Program, the Employable Skills Development Program, the Advocacy Program, and the Humanitarian Emergency Program. DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following positions: Project Coordinator, Education in Emergency EiE Project Officer, Social Worker/Community Mobilizer, Meal Officer, Gender and Inclusive Officer, Finance Coordinator, Woreda Caher, and Guard

Project Coordinator
Job Summary
Oversees strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of EiE interventions, ensuring alignment with humanitarian standards and donor requirements. The coordinator facilitates collaboration among consortium members, government stakeholders, and community actors, while providing technical guidance on accelerated learning, psychosocial support, and child protection. manage budgets, track progress, and ensure timely reporting.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop Project Plans; maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
- Contribute to technical excellence at the consortium by being an active member of the technical working lab assigned.
- Provide technical assistance to project implementation to achieve faster continuous improvement in quality in both in programmatic and operational performance.
- Create a good and collaborative work atmosphere with the Program Coordinator/Director, the Grassroots community
- Mobilizes resources, initiates and implements projects, and ensures achievements to attain the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Deploy innovative tools and methodologies for their project implementation.

Education Qualification
- MA/BED /MA -EDCUATION, EDPM
NGO/CSO Experience
- 5 Years
Additional Skills
- Good experience in humanitarian or development projects,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and report writing
