Send a Cow is a UK based charity that operates in many African countries of which Ethiopia is one. Send a Cow Ethiopia has a legal ground to operate in Ethiopia having been registered with Charities and Societies Agency as foreign charity with registration No. 0638. Currently, the charity is operating in Amhara, Sidama, South-West, and SNNP regions.

Overall Purpose of the Job

The main responsibility of the Project Coordinator is to lead on the implementation of Send a Cow’s South Wollo programme of diverse, thematic areas and geographic set ups in Kutaber district of South Wollo and beyond. This will be through the coordination of the effort and management of resources to implement activities outlined in the project document. The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading, managing and supporting the technical team on the ground. The chosen candidate will build staff and partner capacity, network with all stakeholders and like-minded organisations for effective and result orientated program.

The post holder will coordinate and work to achieve the Kutaber development project goal in the South Wollo zone through different project interventions aimed at improving Farm Systems, Gender and Social Inclusion and Business and Enterprise development of poorer households and their families targeted by the project. You will need to be able to apply a range of appropriate approaches, including interventions at family and community levels and build the capacity of project staff who can bring sustainable change to the project communities.

For this role, we will consider applicants who have a MSc or BSc in Agricultural Economics, Development studies, Rural Social Development or Agricultural Extension or related fields from recognized University and significant work experience in community-based development with project planning, budgeting and managing (5 years’ experience for MSc candidates and 7 years experience for BSc candidates).
