Program Officer

Healthcare System Impact Syndicate Africa (ACSIS) is a nonprofit nongovernmental organization registered under the civil society organization proclamation of Ethiopia. ACSIS works to bring quality healthcare to Africans everywhere at all times by supporting transformation of  the healthcare delivery system, generating evidence for innovative approaches, advocating/advising policy change and its robust translation to enhance trust of the community in healthcare. Description

The position program officer entails all activities pertaining to planning, monitoring, and implementation of all existing and new program activities

Duties and responsibilities:

ACSIS program officers have the following duties and responsibilities

• Know the details of all ACSIS programs and projects
• Actively participate in planning, grant writing and implementation of all ACSIS programs
• Execute office and field work assigned to them professionally and effectively
• Submit timely reports of assigned work
• Maintain office etiquette, and field ACSIS work standards at all times
• Provide, organize and deliver training; workshops, seminars and supportive supervision
• Provide resident support to implementation sites when required
• Provide regular follow up and support for implementation officers
• Adapt to flexible working hours and travel needs
• Maintain high professional, ethical and standards of good practice at all times
• Participate in research, write up and documentation of experience for spread
• Participate in working group and technical committees of health ministries and regional health offices with such working relationship with ACSIS
• Undertake other activities  given to her/him by the program director

Accountability: The program officer is accountable to the program director of ACSIS

Qualification

• Minimum of MD/MPH or MD/ Project Management or MD/M &E or related fields with 2 yrs of relevant experience; experience in quality improvement work is high considered

• Commendable team work, leadership and organization skills with ability to work under stress
