Location: Remote (Virtual quarterly meetings; physical meetings on a need-be basis)

Reports To: Board of Directors (Quarterly)
Application Deadline: October 30, 2026
About Fairtrade Africa
Established in 2005, Fairtrade Africa (“FTA”) is a member of Fairtrade International and the umbrella network organization representing Fairtrade-certified Producer Organizations in Africa and the Middle East. Across four regional networks—Eastern & Central Africa, Southern Africa, West Africa, and Middle East & North Africa—FTA represents over 1.35 million farmers and workers across 660 producer organizations in 28 countries.
FTA’s Board of Directors relies on specialized Board Committees to steer strategy, ensure legal compliance, and fulfill its mandate across the region.
Position Overview
Fairtrade Africa is seeking qualified Producer Representatives to join its governance Board Committees. Producer Representatives bring the authentic perspectives, experiences, and interests of FTA’s membership into strategic deliberations.
While representing the producer membership perspective, representatives exercise independent, impartial judgment to act in the overall best interests of Fairtrade Africa.
