Job Description
Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI) is an international Italian NGO established in 1965. Since its establishment, COOPI has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries. COOPI Ethiopia started its operation in 1995 and has been primarily implementing emergency, relief and early recovery programs in water hygiene and sanitation, food security and livelihood, nutrition and protection sectors.
COOPI is currently implementing 10 projects in Ethiopia focusing on WASH, ESNFI, CCCM, Energy, Food security and Livelihood managing 8 field bases and a staff of over 100 employees.
COOPI is looking for qualified and competent Procurement Supervisor to be based Addis Ababa.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement
- Review procurement procedures and contracts of procurements processed at project offices for approval.
- Facilitate the payment of procured goods, services, and works. Coordinate procurement of goods, services, materials and equipment required by COOPI offices or projects.
- Collect quotations and conduct market surveys to identify reliable suppliers offering competitive prices.
- Prepare procurement documentation-purchase orders (POs), tender documents, requests for quotation (RFQs) or bids ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities, pricing, and compliance with COOPI and donor policies.
- Support in the process of the tender/bidding process as required. (Including coordinating procurement committee meetings), supplier evaluation, contract award, and follow-up.
- Maintain and update a supplier database: track supplier performance, vendor information, contracts, and pricing.
- Ensure timely delivery of procured items/services and coordinate with procurement and logistics team, relevant program or admin staff for effective and efficient procurement services.
- Project office support as required and in the absence of Field Logisticians.
- Work closely with Program, Finance, Admin, and Field teams to align procurement needs with project plans and budgets.
- Ensure all procurement follows COOPI internal procedures as well as external donor regulations and guidelines.
- Archiving procurement reports and maintain transparent documentation for audit and accountability.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement/logistics management within NGO settings or in donor-funded projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement cycle and supply-chain principles; familiarity with NGO and donor procurement requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational skills; ability to coordinate across departments.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office) and ability to manage procurement records, reporting, and documentation.
- Integrity, ethical conduct, and compliance with donor and organizational policies (anti-fraud, anti-corruption, transparency).
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Duration of the contract: Six months with possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and fund availability.
Salary and Benefit: Gross salary 58,726 ETB
