Job Description

The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization. ECDD is committed to promoting the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities through policy advocacy and the mainstreaming of disability inclusion in service delivery, development programs, and humanitarian actions, in partnership with other organizations. Established in 2005, and re-registered by the Agency for Civil Society Organizations as a local CSO with a Certificate № 0321 under the Proclamation № 1113/2019, ECDD is dedicated to fostering disability disability-inclusive Ethiopia where persons with disabilities in all their diversities exercise their human rights and have access to mainstream services and opportunities on an equal basis with others

Under the EHF funded project “Supporting Access to Education for Crisis-Affected Communities in East Gojjam Zone of Amhara Region,” ECDD aims to improve learning outcomes for children with disabilities by converting teaching materials into accessible formats. Therefore, the Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) invites eligible, qualified, and reputable suppliers to submit sealed bids for the supply and delivery of Inclusive Resource Center Materials to support the strengthening of ten (10) Disability-Inclusive Resource Centers (DIRCs) under the project “Supporting Access to Education for Crisis-Affected Communities in East Gojjam Zone of the Amhara Region.

Eligibility and Bid Requirements

Eligible vendors must submit valid and complete documentation, including:

  • Company profile demonstrating relevant experience
  • Renewed business/trade license valid for the current fiscal year
  • Valid TIN and VAT registration certificates
  • All prices in Ethiopian Birr (ETB)
  • Prices inclusive of VAT, delivery/transport, handling, and all related costs
  • Quotation must follow the official Price Schedule Template

General Conditions

  • All items supplied must be new, original, and of high quality
  • Refurbished or used items will not be accepted
  • For assembled items, the country of origin must be clearly stated
  • Suppliers must quote one option per item only (no multiple brands per line item)
  • Indicate the number of days the prices will be valid after the date of the submission
  • ECDD reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, partially or fully
  • Bids must be submitted within ten (10) calendar days from the date of announcement at the ECDD Head Office.

Pricing and Payment

  • Prices must be quoted in ETB, including VAT, delivery, loading/unloading, and all associated costs
  • No advance payment will be made
  • Payment will be made right after:
    ✓ Full delivery
    ✓ Inspection and acceptance of items
    ✓ Submission of valid invoice
  • Payment will be processed through bank transfer or Cheque, subject to mandatory tax deductions (if applicable)

How to Apply

Bid Submission Instructions

Financial proposal should be submitted within 8 (Eight) calendar days from the date of announcement through:

  • Email: tenderecdd@ecdd-ethiopia.org.
  • Sealed envelope delivered to ECDD office (Bekilobet- Infront of Global Hotel, 3rd floor of a new Building where Amara Bank found from the ground)
