Procurement of 4,500 Layer Chickens (45-90 Days Old) (Re-advertisement)

Currently, VSF-Suisse is implementing a World Food Programme (WFP)-funded resilience-building project titled “Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Groups in the Context of Desert Locust Infestation in Ethiopia.” The project targets Harshin and Mula woredas in Fafen Zone and Erer woreda in Sitti Zone of Somali Region. As part of the intervention, the organization invites eligible and qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids for the supply and delivery of 4,500-layer chickens (45-90 days old) for distribution to 150 households (30 layers per household) to improve income, nutrition, and household livelihoods.

Bid Document Collection: Interested bidders can obtain the comprehensive bidding documents from the VSF-Suisse Jigjiga Field Office and the Addis Ababa office by paying 100 birr, starting from the date of this announcement, for 7 consecutive days.

Bid Submission: All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Bid for Supply of Layer Chickens and – Ref. No: VSFS/ETH/2025/03-DL-WFP to the address below, no later than 7 days June 9, 2025

Bid Opening: Bids will be opened in public on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM (afternoon), at the VSF-Suisse Jigjiga Field Office and Addis Ababa in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.

Representation: If a bidder cannot attend, a signed delegation letter must accompany
