Job Description

Mekdim Ethiopia National Association (MENA) is an indigenous National Non-governmental, Non-political and not for profit humanitarian organization working in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention, care treatment and support services.  MENA is now in the process of recruiting employees for its USAID MULU KP Activity sub granted from PSI/Ethiopia to be implemented in Addis Ababa; thus, invites competent candidates to apply on the following vacant post:

Pharmacy Technician

Major Duties /job summary

  • Preparing standard report and requests for Pharmaceutical related
  • Receiving of commodities according to the documents received
  • updating of bin cards
  • arranging of commodities based on their categories
  • making sure the commodities are stored and issued based on First In and First Out(FIFO) Approach
  • Be Active member and Participants in MDT team at DIC level.
  • dispensing of commodities and ART drugs with Proper counselling and information
    • making on ART patient record
    • Make Balance Stock status monthly or as necessary
    • recording of expired items and facilitate the its Disposal
    • keeping the security and safety of the store

Term of Employment: one year with possible extension based on availability of funds

Number of Position: 1

Job Requirements

Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor science degree (BSc) in  Pharmacy from a recognized institution, Plus COC Certificate.

Required Experience:

    • Two Year experience in Clinical Pharmacy setting and experience in the MULU KPP Project has an Asset
  • Recent comprehensive ART training is mandatory
  • Computer application skill
  • Communications skills
  • Fluency in English and local languages
