Job Description
The job holder will be responsible to facilitate a peace Building trainings and community dialogues b/n the communities in Amhara, Tigray and Benishangul region. The job holder is also fully responsible for the smooth, cost effective, efficient and timely implementation of the project activities as per the implementation plan and allocated budget.
Coordinate and administrative support to project activities is provided and implemented as per agreed standards. Ensure stakeholders’ participation and involvement in peace building activities for success of their development process for sustainability.
Location: Gazgibla, Waghimra Zone
Major Responsibility
- Implement project planned activities in line with the agreed work plans and budgets; successfully delivers against timeframes, milestones, output and outcome targets/objectives.
- Organize peace building and community peace dialogue trainings for project participants.
- Follow-up and support youth peacebuilders and youth peace champions to organize peacebuilding initiatives in their community.
- Support organizing community peace dialogues in project locations. Facilitate for technical and material support to community peace dialogues.
- Organize trauma healing trainings to faith leaders and community target groups as indicated in the project document and support the trauma healing facilitators organized trauma healing sessions
- Draft and submit project activities and success stories to project Meal officer and project coordinator.
- Other Related Activities when assigned
Required Education qualification and Experience:
- Education Background-BA in Sociology, social development, business management, Development studies, or other related field of studies.
- At least 3 years field experience working with communities in peace building projects focusing in an NGO context
Required Skill:
- Very strong communication skills with demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity, and physical stamina including knowledge of the humanitarian sector.
- Strong problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
- Able to speak local language
