BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Head of the Partnerships & Reporting Unit and in close collaboration with the communications unit and the various other units of the WFP Ethiopia team.
The purpose of the position is to provide substantial value to WFP’s effective positioning with public, private, and external partners to attract policy support, resources, technical assistance, and innovative solutions to advance the work of WFP.
The incumbent will carry out a broad range of partnerships and reporting activities, analytical work, and research in support of the Country Office. They will engage with internal stakeholders and a host of public, private sector, and external entities. These can comprise governments, UN agencies, intergovernmental institutions and their member states, international financial institutions, individuals, corporations, foundations and NGOs.
