Job Description

Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is a national Non-Governmental Organization registered in accordance with the proclamation for Civil Society Organizations proclamation No 1113/2019 with a certificate No 0022. MCMDO is currently implementing 32 emergency response and development projects in all regions and City Administrations in Ethiopia.

To meet its objectives MCMDO calls for competent professionals to apply for the following vacant positions for the Drought Response Project funded by WHH/GFO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

At the inception of the program carry out health facility capacity assessment and institutional mapping related with CMAM-IMAM in collaboration with WoHO and project team

Prepare weekly and monthly work plan for effective implementation of TFP(SC and OTP)

Strengthen referral linkage among CMAM  component through availing standard referral forms at health facility level

Prepare regular mentoring and monitoring of health facilities with OTP and SC using standard score cards/supervision check lists

Regularly ensure performance outcome of the therapeutic feeding centers meet SPHERE standard

Facilitate nutrition education ate TFP and TSFP  sites in close coordination with Nutrition education supervisor

Provide technical support for health facilities and WoHO to analysis and utilization  of  CMAM –IMAM data for local decision

Strengthen nutrition surveillance  and data management system of the woreda and health facilities

In  collaboration with WoHO ,health facilities and the community regularly update out breaks and any other aggravating factor for malnutrition through weekly situation update Strengthen integration of TSFP in the routine health care system

Prepare weekly and monthly work plan for effective implementation of TSFP second generation intervention as routine health services

Strengthen referral linkage among CMAM /IMAM component through availing standard referral forms at health facility and community level

Organize /strengthen WDA functionality through HEW to effectively ensure the treatment coverage and quality of services

Prepare regular mentoring and monitoring of health facilities with CMAM-IMAM using standard National  score cards/supervision check lists

Organize  and provide Standard training on  Management of AM for health workers and health extension workers

Ensure geographic and treatment coverage of CMAM/ IMAM services and subsequently required met need is achieved

Strengthen/ Support the Establishment of quality SC center and regualr regularly mentoring

Follow up and Ensure care takers at SC are receiving appropriate food, hygiene and educational services

Organize and conduct regular joint monitoring field visit with partners and  follow up to address on identified gaps

Technically support the CMAM –IMAM logistic management system at facility and woreda level to improve continues logistic availability

Improve documentation of  IMAM data at health facility level

Strengthen TFP and TSFP reporting and recording through regular supportive supervision and availing documentation materials and job aids

Weekly, monthly and quarterly progress report based on prepared work plan for TFP

Project Location: MIYO, MOYALE, DIRE and Dillo of Borena Zone, Oromia Region

Duration of the project:  9 months

Job Requirements

Required qualification and experience

BSC in public Health officer and Nursing with more than three years work experience on CMAM/IMAM as officer ,supervisor, facilitator or mentor

TOT on management of AM/IMAM/CMAM

NGO experience with similar position  is preferred

Good interpersonal communication and facilitation skill

Respect for multiculturalism and Value

Mentoring and facilitation skill

Be able to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines with minimum supervision

Promote team synergy in a multi-cultural work environment

A resourceful person and self-starter
