Nurse Director

American Medical and MCH Center is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Nurse Director to lead our nursing team.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad clinical background, specifically demonstrating progressive leadership experience in both Internal Medicine and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) clinic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide direction to the nursing department across all clinical areas, including Internal Medicine and MCH, ensuring alignment with the institution’s mission.
• Staff Oversight: Oversee recruitment, training, and development for a diverse nursing team, ensuring competencies meet the unique patient care needs of both adult medicine and maternal-child health services.
• Clinical Collaboration: Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions and effective communication across specialized departments.
• Workload Management: Utilize evidence-based tools, such as the Workload Indicator of Staffing Need (WISN), to manage nursing workloads and address staffing gaps or excesses in high-pressure clinical areas
• Budget & Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation to meet patient care goals while controlling costs across the clinic’s various service lines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or above.
• Total Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a nurse, with progressive leadership in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a Nurse Director role, with a proven track record of managing nursing teams in both Internal Medicine and MCH clinic settings.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement methodologies relevant to adult and maternal-child health.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment: Dedicated to patient-centered care, quality, and safety.
• Flexibility: Ability to work variable hours and participate in on-call duties as needed.
